Great Organization (some questionable leadership....)
Specialist (Ex-Funcionário) – St. George Campus – 13 de Junho de 2019
Was hired under one set of conditions but was informed, by my manger, of a different set of requirements shortly after being hired. Very quiet and outdated office, little-to-no contact with fellow team members. Rigid work schedule. Most days were spent on relatively mundane tasks while watching coworkers try to stay awake.Union environment can be beneficial for some but not for others. Not a horrible job... just not the job for me. Ultimately, politics and poor manager led to my resignation.
The U of T is one organization but each Faculty operates independently and not all Faculties are created equal. My few experiences with members of other Faculties (and departments) were fantastic! Really amazing and welcoming people! I'd love to have a opportunity to apply my strengths in a more suitable role, at the U of T, in the future.
Fairly Independent Workday, Excellent Benefits, Job Security, Decent Salary
Too Many "Silos", Micromanagement, Office Politics, Extremely Tight Budgets
